On October 14-18, Dubai World Trade Center brought together innovations from all over the world, while hosting GITEX 2018, a venue to demonstrate cutting-edge technology and shape new trends for the years to come.
This year, in addition to its joint booth with NGN International, a Manama-based office of the same group of companies, the company leveraged its extensive project track record to present solutions together with Dubai Police and Abu Dhabi’s Smart Solutions and Services Authority (“ADSSSA”).
At Dubai Police’s booth, NNTC unveiled a unique product designed for police officers and previously concealed from the public: glasses with face recognition functionality, which help instantly detect wanted criminals or suspects in the crowd. The solution operation was checked by Dubai Police Commander Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri and his honored delegation.
“We really appreciate that our booth was visited by HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the deputy ruler of Dubai, and HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai. It’s encouraging us to continue developing innovative technologies for the benefit of people and businesses of UAE,” – said Dmitry Doshaniy, NNTC General Manager.
At the booth by Abu Dhabi’s Smart Solutions and Services Authority, NNTC contributed to a demonstration of machine-to-machine communication (robot to a drone) together with another Microsoft partner. NNTC has provided a drone with machine vision engine and completed the integration of the solution. The booth visitor was interacting with a robot to select a scenario to find the lost thing. Then the search process began: the drone would take off automatically and locate the desired object among a few other items.
At the joint booth of NNTC and NGN International, the visitors could try AR glasses for remote maintenance operations, assess the functionality of the wireless network management solutions by Wimark Systems and see the completed VR projects for different industries.
